How to spend an Afternoon in Kuala Lumpur

PULP by Papa Palheta

The name of this cafe originates from the fact that it was a paper-cutting space and factory for almost 50 years. Located in a little industrial area, PULP by Papa Palheta is a great spot to beat the heat. They have an excellent assortment of coffee, cold brew, snacks and desserts. I went with a solid avocado toast. If you're a photographer or fashion blogger, the entire area around the cafe is extremely photogenic, including the trip to the bathroom!

Now that you've had your coffee fix, and you have energy to spare, take the time to walk through a residential area until you end up at The Ganga Cafe. We ordered the tasting menu, since we were just feeling peckish, but if you can, definitely get a full dish. The Ganga Cafe is a restaurant which serves South Indian vegan food, with a Gujarati twist. All of the vegetables are fresh from their farm, and are fertilizer+insecticide-free! On Sundays, they have a buffet from 10am-3pm. We were blown away by their Pranic juice. A fresh cup of green, made with: fresh mint, coriander, ginger, lime, pepper, black salt, honey and cumin. The manager joked that even if he shares the secret ingredients of the juice, customers never get the proportions just right when they try to re-create it at home. Not only would I go back for this magical juice, but the staff had us smiling and laughing the entire time. And guess what - when we finished our meal, the lovely owner happened to stop by, and she ended up giving us a ride to our next destination! So sweet ♥.

Apparently everyone is just ridiculously friendly in KL. I had a nice little chat with the helpful staff of I love Snackfood. You might have a little trouble finding it, because it's actually up a flight of stairs! I enjoyed their selection of magazines, and picked up some Kinfolk, Cereal and High Snobiety to read by the pool. My mom actually got mad at me, because she was waiting downstairs, and I got way too carried away petting the adopted cats that belong to the shop-owners.

You'll always be ready to cool off in Malaysia. Inside Scoop is just a few steps away from the last destination, I love Snackfood. The colorful interior is a little oasis, serving flavorful scoops of cups and cones of ice-cream.
